is it 30 days from your order date or 30 days from the launch date? i received it two days after mothers day which was the 8th.

30 days from the day you activate it...

So, June 8th is the last day you can return it.

This is not what I was told directly from sprint cust service. 30 days from the day you order the phone. I ordered mine on sprint.com. Not the day you activate it. You should call if you are cutting out close

can't be from the day you preordered as the phone didn't launch until may 8th. it's probably from the day you activate it.

I didn't say from the day I preordered. I didnt. I ordered mine on launch day.

Think what u want but I talked to a customer service rep last week and asked that exact question.

I was told 30 days from the day I ordered. And then I was told my date, which was indeed 30 days from may 8.

If you preordered, my guess would be the day it launched (may 8)

When you return the phone before the 30 days are up to you get your upgrade eligibility discount back? Never returned a phone before and generally like this phone minus a few things but with the Evo 3D speculated to be released around june 14th I might want to return this and at least play around with an Evo 3D.

This is the actual policy:

Has 30 days from the date of activation to exchange and return equipment.
Has 30 days from date of purchase, if device was never activated, to exchange and return equipment.
Return device, original packing, accessory components, manual, battery, charger, ear bud, and clip.
If order was Buy One Get One, all phones and accessories must be deactivated and returned to get the credit.
Return device where they purchased it (orignal sales channel) to avoid non-returned equipment fee.
After receiving the return kit (RMA) complete the return within 10 days to expedite the credit.
Must pay all charges including:
Upgrade fee
Purchase price of equipment
$35.00 restocking fee, if applicable

You will be paying restocking fee unless phone is defective and you are swapping to another nexus.

I wonder if we can get out of the $35 restocking fee to the fact the phone does not work (signal / radio issues)?

well if i don't hear an announcement this week about a signal fix my phone goes back to best buy on saturday. ill pick up a cheap evo until the 3d drops in late june or july. it's a shame because i love the nexus but something needs to be done here.

Thats silly. Then you will be dealing with all the issues the 3D will have at launch as well. By that time, the Nexus will be fixed and you will be stuck with a buggy (Evo 3D) phone all over again. Use some common sense.

I guess it's just me but I would take any nexus device (signal issues be damned), over a locked down skinned, bloated POS. After owning a DX, and and EVO, I couldn't go back to that. You can throw all the cores you want into it it will still be slow. Just my opinion. :p

whats the sense of having a phone is the radio and signal sucks?

As you've seen in this forum the google guys are actively looking into this issue. I will tell you this. personally for 3G/voice I have found this to be more of a display issue as the phone only has 4 bars of signal as opposed to an epics 6. While yes, my phone shows less bars, I have not dropped any more calls or had slower 3G data. Even when the phone is showing 1bar I still make calls get internet fine.

Wifi- yes there does seem to be an issue here as the connection does indeed drop out.

4G- I cannot test this but things I have heard indicate it is on par with an Epic's 4G signal.

There is an anecdote I read where the iphone had this exact signal issue. They changed some code to show more signal bars and change the calculation of how signal is displayed. Viola no more signal issues.

Yeah the WiFi should work better.... our 4 laptops, the wife's EVO, my old Palm Pre my Blu-Ray players, PS3, and shop computer all get great WiFi reception... Not my spankin new Nexus S 4G.

Though I can make calls at anytime with the phone 3G Data is sparse too and that's evident with all the apps reporting network failures... that's not just the software reporting the wrong number of bars.
