Reboot fix; Gingerbread is later.Well thats no fair! Is the prediction just for any update or for GB/reboot fix. We all know there will be an update on that date...you know the one to remove free tethering!!!
Thanks, Robrecht

You must have talked to a Verizon rep on the phone too, right?
That INSTANTLY gives the post complete credibility!![]()
jcase confirmed that MR2 is now on its 5th revision 1.70.xx and is looking at a potential 7/6 release. That sounds pretty credible but of course not set in stone.
EDIT: This is MR2; GB will come later with MR3.
Thanks, Robrecht
It makes zero difference to me as MR1 is working perfectly on my current phone. I'm just reporting on what jcase has confirmed elsewhere. He frequently has inside information (and code) that trumps what you are able to see in your position. He did not say it was approved yet and it doesn't have to get approved that long before it is pushed. Your 5/20 date in your OP was incorrect.Do not get your hopes up. We won't be seeing it for a week or more at the very least.
Remember what I said about getting approved software lists for every phone Verizon has ever used? Yeah, still no new software approved as of today for the Thunderbolt. It has to get approved long before its pushed, and testers probably took the holiday weekend off.
I would be more inclined to see the software get approval on 7/6/11, then get pushed around 7/15/11.
I'm even skeptical on that soon, to be honest.
Common guys...give em a break.
Most people here are just passing on information as they acquire it. Its up to us to evaluate the aggregate of all available information and come up with our own conclusions.
Isn't the world supposed to end soon anyway......
