Android and me just posted an article saying that the charge will cost 300 dollars. Its unofficial but that's way too much especially if its not dual core top of the line everything. What do you all think? Will it deter you?

is there any phone that is 300? i can't imagine that they would throw such a high price tag on a Fascinate with a larger screen and hard buttons. Maybe the phone does our taxes?

I can't see any reason to justify 300.00. Sure its lte and has a fancy screen but $300.00 is just absurd. And then taxes will make it jump to almost $400.00 where I live if not more.

Just curious, where do you live in Arizona that taxes will tack on an extra $100? Down here in Tucson, it only adds ~ $25 @ 9.1%

Funny you should mention Tucson because that's where I live but at verizon they charge tax on the whole retail price of the phone not the contract price.

Funny you should say that... have you tried SnapTax by TurboTax? Worked very well for me for a basic tax return, I had to add extra forms, but the app lets you know what you need to get prepared. I was impressed for a free app.

taxes, bah humbug.
one of the only _good things_ about living in the soggy-green state of Oregon is no sales tax. But i'm still not sure that makes up for the extra expense of all the rain gear one must own to make it through over 70 inches of annual rainfall on the coast ;)

and now back to our regular Go-Samsung chat.

you can also get out of sales tax in other states if you show ID.

Causing massive damage to the economy of Washington? Everyone buying a charge in oregon buys it in canada without tax, and people from washington buy it in Oregon without Tax. yaaay.

but seriously... 300$ is absurd.

Got the Thunderbolt last week anticipating a Charge release in my 14 day return period. I LOVE my Thunderbolt, didn't think I would since I was so dead set on the Charge.

Now, I don't know what I would do without my kickstand and wouldn't pay near $300 for this phone.

Thunderbolt it is for good.

I on the other hand can't wait to toss this brick through best buys window

Is it really that bad?

More disappointing than bad.its a good phone. But if I am going to live with and work around bugs I want a different form factor.i don't want to join a gym just to carry this thing around. I want an OLED screen.i want better lifetime. Also want a phone that gives me proper notifications. If nothing else works at least give me proper notices. I lose data constantly with this thing I dont want to have to try ans reply 50times before it decides to send.

So sales tax in AZ is like 25%?
I was in WA recently and was shocked it was 19%
I don't like the 4% here in HI.
0% in OR is very cool.

sigh I still not done with my income tax...waiting till tomorrow like I do ever year.

back on topic, since I will pay full pop, and websites are saying $700 i dunno man it sux. I hear TB off contract can be had for ~$400 but if DX has them probs??
I believe I will suck it up and pay, I REALLY want the charge :)

i paid 749 for the TB off contract, what site are you going to ?!?!?!

I spent the last 15 mins looking for the website I saw that $400 thing on...can't find it. Happens every time when looking for something you saw online. grr

With that said...I did see it on some website, and I believe some have mentioned it in the forums. Without a link tho, I probably wouldn't find a persons having "seen" it somewhere carries much weight.
back to looking for that link, will post when I find

@Davey verizon (not sure about other carriers) charges tax on the retail price of the phone. I'm just guessing that a subsidized $300 would be outrageously high off contract is didn't actually do any math. Too lazy for that right now but it would be way too high for me to drop on this thing.
