$300 trade in credit advice

Do I have to have an up grade available to get the $300 credit? I have done the Best Buy method but not this one. Needing a new phone, but not wanting to use upgrade.

No, the credit isn't for upgrades. It's for activating new lines, so you have to be able to do that.

Just wanted to point out that the $300 gift card is for new customers or if you port a new line. Otherwise its a $300 bill credit, not a gift card.

That's not true if you are in-store and open a new line. Reps can apply the $300 to the purchase price of a new phone when you open a new line.

If you do the monthly finance, then no, your not under contract. Once you pay off the phone, that's it. Device payment plan is not a contract.

No. Verizon doesn't do contacts anymore. By doing the monthly payment, the minute you payoff the phone you are free to leave them.
