32 GB Nexus is real

More internal storage doesn't mean that much to me. I haven't even come close to filling up 8 GB. Now, if the new model had more RAM or a better processor or improved resolution or an HDMI port or a microSD slot, then I might consider upgrading.

Got my Nexus 7 when it was announced, guess I'm gonna have to sell my 16gb.

Was thinking about doing the same, but I have a ton of games and still 6gigs of free space on mine. I'll just manage my space and wait it out till the summer of 2013, when hopefully there'll be a new 7 inch nexus announced. I'll lose too much money in the process of selling my 16gb just to get 32 to justify it. What I'm hoping for (though this is 99.99% unlikely) is that Google will offer some sort of affordable "upgrade" for 16gb owners in the form of some trade in. Guess I can keep dreaming :(

Do I trust a user with the handle "stonerman"? LOL thanks for the info hope it's available on that date.

Deep down inside, I want to throw a tantrum, considering I bought mine on 9/26 for the same price as the 32 will be. Not to mention I only have 5.66 GB left and I don't have much installed. I know about the OTG cable and all, and I know that Bard's tale and iBirds pro take up ungodly amounts of space.. but still, even just the principle of it all.

I bought from Walmart 2 weeks ago, and yesterday was the last day to return. :(

I'm sure your face looked like your avatar after reading this thread.

I can understand your apprehension in trusting a stoner, but it has everything to do with my real name and nothing to do with Mary Jane.

I believe you man, just having some fun with your handle. There is so much information on the Nexus 7 32GB coming out that I have to believe it is coming out soon.

does staples still do returns without receipt for store credit? im going to do a RMA and not open my new one and just bring it to staples lol

I think Staples requires that you have at least bought it from them, and they could figure that out by the serial number quickly enough.

I don't feel so bad buying the 8gb now. I still have alot of space left in it, but it's because I'm careful which games I've uploaded, nothing large. well I don't wanna be careful anymore damn it!..LOL I'm getting this for sure

If you bought it with your rewards card, they can look it up

Coming from the Xoom to the N7 was a downgrade in screen size and capacity for me, I would at least like to have the same amount of storage.

You would think to upgrade the Nexus 7 all someone would have to do is replace the internal micro sd card? Although I personally wouldn't do it for fear of busting the thing

Yeah and use linux to copy the existing card and then resize the partitions to take advantage of the additional space. This is certainly something that was possible in android 2.3. No idea if it still works in android 4.x or not.

Just because they added more storage doesn't mean I need it.

Like someone mentioned above, the only way I'm upgrading is if they release a premium or substantially altered 7 inch tablet with more RAM, perhaps a rear facing camera, and a higher res screen. I'm not really interested in the Nexus 10; I sold my iPad 3rd Gen for the Nexus 7, and the 7 inch form factor is without competition. It feels amazing being able to read or watch movies one handed on a crowded train, and to simply be able to stuff the N7 into my coat pocket when I don't have time or space to take off my bag, stick in a compartment, and close it again. Google JUST released the N7, so I highly doubt they are introducing a more powerful 7incher later this month (only the 32gb storage option).

So are we sure the street date is the 29th? There's a document on Android Police detailing a promo endcap that some Staples locations will get, and on the notes it implies that as soon as retail stores get stock, they should advertise as such and sell it. Is it possible that's just a soft street date for your location, stonerman, and there's no real imposed hard street date among Staples locations?

I just called my local Staples and they have the 32gb in stock and I told them to hold one in my name!!!

People on XDA are buying them from Staples. There is a image of a receipt too. Think Staples is blundering up by accident, get one while you can :)

I work at a Staples in CT and we just got them in stock! Not sure when we can sell them though :(

You work at Staples ... why can't you just return the 16 the one?
