32gb micro sd card

I have installed my 32gb micro SD card, it shows up in storage, under internal storage.

Will it automatically fill up as I use up my internal storage?

No, the SD card slot is Read Only right now. Hopefully its changed later. You must manually put what you want on the SD card. Rooting will allow you full read and write support.
