I tried tranquility yesterday. I did have an initial bad experience but after a few reboots and a 2nd data wipe...it was nice. Although when I changed launchers to LP I lost that awesome toolbox. So I reflashed my apex backup

if you do a data wipe, you'll loose the toolbox. but, if you want the toolbox back you can either get it with a fresh install of the rom, or there is also a separate zip file with the toolbox you can load as well.

GummyJAR!

I haven't tried Tranqulity (always read great things), but I'm torn between that and GummyJAR. I've been going from Apex 1.3 to RubiX 1.9 and back for the last week and need to make a decision here. Ha - It's hard with all the awesome work out there.

cool, thank you! i'm going to stick with Tranq for awhile. Had Apex, Rubix and loved them both but with Tranq having the ability to hot swap between themes is what i really like about it. and yea, there is some awesome stuff out so its fun to switch it up and certainly hard to settle on just one rom/theme.

Well, if you do feel like switching it up sometime? I'm tellin' ya: Try GummyJAR. I installed it a few hours ago and holy @#$% - It is fast. That guy on the DF thread that kept raving on and on about the speed wasn't joking. It blazes. Not that many themes yet as the dev and ROM are relatively new-ish to the scene, but I am completely floored.

Flashing tranquility3.6.0 on my wife's X. What's with the reboots when installing an app? I've flashed this rom a few days ago and didn't get it to run in a stable manner until i wiped data and cache a 2nd time after the initial wipe before flashing. I know how to get the toolbox back but I'm wondering why it takes a 2nd wipe to operate properly. Other experiences out there along the same lines?

now that all of the bugs have been worked out and the system is stable... does anyone know how to change the themes within the ROM? i read the changelog and it does state that you can do this w/o flashing

Too many problems with tranquility. Back on the good ol reliable. ApeX!
Everytime I changed something within tranQs toolbox, system would reboot. No problem. But then my X would turn on with FCs. Screen would stay on. No progress. I would result in turning the X off then powering back up...kind of a pain. I'm not attempting to fix the prob,just sharing my experience

sometimes when you make a change in the toolbox it requires a reboot to apply the change and you have to be patient while the change applies. for me, its been very stable and no problems. if your having problems take a look at the forum as the dev or moderator will respond to help.

Yeah...I know a reboot is necessary for changes to take effect. That wasn't the prob. I didn't like the FCs I was getting once the device rebooted. I did like the ROM and the customization. I bought the teamblackhat manager from the market. To get that toolbox update. I'll have to look into contacting the dev so I can flash back to it.

^^ I hear ya, FC's are a real pain in the ass and I dont blame you for moving off it if your unable to resolve. I really like this ROM, but now looking for another change..lol....anyone here try the Fission ROM's? I was just reading about them today and the Fission Rom Manager sounds similar to the Tranq ROM in the sense that you can change themes, etc.

Fission ROMs are awesome as well. I ran fission2.2.1 before the 340 update. It was extremely stable. The blackout themes are niiice. I may switch back to those soon too. Teamdefuse.com

and then install the Rom Manager? I see there is a lite version and a donate version. any thoughts on this?

I donated to them a few times... but the DL isn't working. It gives you an HTML file that dies nothing. I'm lost too

i was able to get a dl: the file name is DX_Fission_2.4.2.zip. It's interesting, the zip includes a preinstall folder that has recovery, and bootstrap recovery apk. i've not yet seen a rom that includes these items in the install....hmm....a bit hesitant.

I flashed TranQ 3.6 over Apex and had these reboots as well....I had to do a factory reset to stabilize my phone. 3 days ago though I flashed TranQ over a backup of STOCK .340 and no problems whatsoever. So it appears that flashing over any roms is a no no.
