Hey yall,

Experiencing some issues with connecting a set of new JBL reflect countur 2s to a new pixel 3a.

Essentially these headphones won't even show up when looking for a discoverable device when it is out into that on both the phone and the headphones.

Literally has only showed up once and it couldnt connect.

I have tried the phone and headphones out with other devices and they have no issues whatsoever.

I have gone through the process of restarting and even resetting the phone 3 times to no avail. Tried all the devolper bluetooth settings.

Literally just has to be some software update issue but when checking for updates for the phone there are no new ones.

Amy other advice?

Welcome to Android Central! I assume you've already gone through the usual process of pairing (i.e., pressing and holding the center button of the headphones for about 3 seconds until you hear the "Powering on ... Pairing" announcement?

Yea I've done that.
The headphones connect to other devices but not this 3a.
The Bluetooth on this 3a does work as it connects to other JBL devices with no issue.

Has to be a software issue. Most advice at this point seems to be "wait for a software update".

One more thing -- are the headphones currently connected to another device nearby? If so, see what happens if you disconnect and/or forget the connection with that device first, then try to pair with the 3a.
