3D on Google Maps

Why the heck can't I figure this out? I have read the google help on it and I still can't get it to go? Im in metro detroit...

Place 2 fingers on screen. Drag straight down. Map will tilt and you will have 3d view.

Ahhh yes, they need to be side by side... I had my fingers on top of each other.
