3G speed slow after root?

I rooted my phone last night and today I've had really slow 3G speeds, the browser would take forever to load, I used speedtest app and sure enough I'm averaging 800 ms ping, 0.40 Mbps download and 0.25 Mbps upload.
Anyone else experiencing the same?

that what i avg here in LA and my phone is not rooted. 3G speeds on verizon are not that great. 4G is just on Steroids and growth hormones
