So is there anyway to remove the 3g throttle on sprint, im only getting .1-.2 mbps download and upload, ive read about sprint throttling the 3g and i think its kind of ridiculous!! can any one help!!

3g has never been very impressive..

Don't forget we now have a big crowd of Fruitphone users sucking down the 3g bandwidth...

What throttle? My bandwidth is just fine.

@Zeinzu, your lucky enough to live in an area where you seem to have a very good 3g speed. I wish most of us were that lucky :(

I live in the suburbs of Chicago which is a heavily covered Sprint area and still achieve very poor 3g speeds with not only my wife's Epic 4g but also my Nexus S 4g.

Could you run speed test in "prime time" and show us some screen shots then? Say, early evening? My 3G speeds vary GREATLY, depending on time of day.

Good find... I didn't pay attention to the time on the phone screenshots...

I know prime time around my area is a crawl, sometimes 1x speeds at best....

So about 30% slower during the network's busier hours. That's about what I'm seeing where I live (Greensboro, NC) except I'm usually running between say 350-500kbps during busier hours and around 1300-1700kbps late night, on 3G. I did manage to clock a whopping 7507kbps (download) on 4G late last night! @zeinzu: I'm from Jersey myself. Moved down here to NC 5 years ago. EVERYTHING is slower here.lol

Heh, well I'm enjoying it while it lasts. I'm moving to Eastern Shore, MD in a month or two and some spots down there I get crap service. I get almost no service where I'm moving in so looks like I'll be getting an airwave or a generic cell signal booster from Best Buy.
