3G to edge toggle.

So when I had my iPhone I could toggle the phone to switch between edge and 3G. I know in the latest iOS upgrade they took that option away. Is this an att decision that I don't know about. I used to use it when I was in buildings and was only able to get edge. The iPhones battery would be annihilated by searching out the 3G signal. My infuse was all but drained last night while I was at a show just outside of Munich. I only had edge in the building and I am guessing it was the phone trying to connect to 3G. Is there a widget that will allow me to switch between the two networks and block the phone from trying to connect. It would double my battery life on my iPhone so I was hoping to do iron this phone. Thanks.
