This past year, I've been purchasing various apps from one particular developer (company).
Recently, the developer decided to group all its product licenses for its consumers into one consumer account. So for instance, if a consumer purchased 3 licenses from Google PlayStore, they should be able to log onto the developer's commercial website, open an account, and add all their licenses purchased from the developer.
The hitch is, these products have been around for a couple years, and the Google PlayStore never really handed out a license # or id. So having purchased something a while ago that Google PlayStore said was "Lifetime License" but without any reference number or licensing id, the consumer can't input the information into the developer's website.
I've contacted the developer a while back about this. They said this umbrella thing was new and asked that I give them time to work it out.
I haven't bothered them since. But it does seem (from updated apps) that they're asking to purchase a license from their website.
