It's about 187MB.

New "4G" Logo.

Some new app called "Group Play." An app called "Paper Artist."

Help "tips" all over the place, for example, "Swipe across the screen to unlock." Duh. I have to check the "don't show again" box and beat these down like whack-a-mole.

In the pull-down quick access, there is now "Multi window". There is some thing called a "tray" which has apps, on the left side (there's a small round tab to pull it out or push it back), to make multi window work. Yeah, it works.

Also, there's a button in the "Font Style" settings where you can go get fonts online. It sends you to the Play store to a list of fonts (free and for $).

Ugh. In our phone book, you used to be able to slide someone's name to the right to call them. Now you have to tap it and then tap their number. Why would they get rid of that feature? Or did something just re-set?

That feature is still there, try to start your slide about halfway in the contact.

On a side note. To anyone using Battery Widget Reborn (if you haven't checked it out I suggest you do), the expandable notification FINALLY expands and collapses the way it is supposed to. That was bugging the crap outta me...OCD I know. ;)

For those who use the Gallery app, it's different.

Camera has burst mode (I don't remember that, but it might not be new).

Things I've noticed

Multi-Window
Camera (*Best photo & Best face) *This is just a rename of the burst shot with Best Photo already enabled
Gallery (Difference in UI)
Group Play (Looks like a new app. About sharing information?)
My Files (Change in UI)
Paper Artist (Looks new)
Settings (Slight changes in UI [On/Off switch], Page Buddy, Speak Password [Sounds new], Desktop backup password,Select app to be debugged)

Page Buddy is pretty sweet. Try plugging in headphones and it will create a new page (Page Buddy) that has the control already pulled up for your music. It also displays commonly used apps across the bottom in the place of the usual app dock. Sweet if you ask me. It also works with Roaming mode and a Desktop Dock.

I got the update and it turned on tapatalk and it made my phone freeze when I clicked on anything it would highlight it with a yellow outline and would not work in less I double taped on it. And I could not get off my home screen or scroll down in the settings menu. I had to cover the sensor and then it allowed me to fo in the settings and turn off tapatalk and now it works great again. I've never had a problem with my phone freezeing or anything until right after the update. Has anyone else had this problem with tapatalk?

Besides that first problem with the tapatalk messing up I love the update I like the multi window a lot I was surprised that I got the update so soon I read on the forums that it would be awhile before it came out so I am very pleased.

Hey has anyone figured out how to remove shortcuts?

Edit. Wow nevermind it was in the page buddy settings
If anyone wants to remove it. Plug in the headphones and then pull down the notification bar and tap the orange tiled headphone. You will be able to turn it off that way.

Or turn it off in display

I noticed that too. I guess they changed up the spacing now so you start from the middle. I guess people were accidently calling people by swiping?

The OTA 4.1.2 update from Tmo doesn't fix the Google Voice call log issue, does it? My wife's S3 has gotten the update but it's still showing the Google DAN when dialing outgoing calls. I flashed my Note2 with teshxx's ported stock ROM to solve the problem. Maybe I need to do that to the S3 as well.

Pretty sure you mean Talkback, not Tapatalk. ;) The update turned on Talkback for me too, and it was a PAIN to get it turned off. After I did, its' been smooth sailing.

Lol yeah that was what I ment talkback and once I got it off its been great to my phone works I am so happy I bought this phone I am really happy with it and have never had any problems with it.

So, come to find out...talkback is activated every time I reboot, so I have to manually turn it off. :(

Could this be from a bad flash?

How do you manually turn it off? The first time, I went into settings and toggled Talkback on/off which worked. But I already disabled it all together in Applications Manager, so what do I do now?

I gotta admit I really like the new 4G logo. It's very similar to AT&T's and for some reason, I've always thought they had the best looking 4G icon haha.

However, does anyone know if we'll get an update that'll make the status bar turn from "gray" to "black?" Or whether we can customize the quick settings from the pull-down menu? I recall that Premium Suite offered both of these features, but I haven't found any other info on Google regarding this in the US 4.1.2 release.
