4.2.2 Arrived in PH

I think in a few years when the carriers in the US realize they are having less and less control over smartphones, we will start seeing "international" versions actually being sold here, and get timelier updates since they don't have to pass through the carrier.

As for me, I'm already running Android 4.2.2 on my HTC One T-Mobile through the Android Revolution ROM. It's totally worth the wait everyone! I'm sure it'll reach stateside soon, and I'm assuming first with T-Mobile and Sprint.

I'm on an unlocked phone and it sucks that even unlocked (dev-edition) phones don't get it quickly.

Anyway, will un-rooting the phone bring my phone back under warranty? (To my knowledge, rooting voids warranty) Thanks

Hmm...I'm not so sure. I know HTC makes un-rooting their phones extremely complicated, so I would be careful.

The only reason my phone was rooted was because I just happened to buy it used...and it was rooted lol. The funniest part was that I switched from the Nexus 4 to this just specifically because I didn't want to deal with root/ROMs anymore. I tried un-rooting it (I have the T-Mo version), and it was a hassle, so I thought I might as well stick to the root and have some fun with it, while also getting Android 4.2.2. There are some great 4.2.2 Sense 5 ROMs out there, it's just up to you to see if you want to root or not.

Is the dev addition an AT&T phone by the way?

From what I've read in other forum you wont be able to get the update if your phone is rooted. I don't know how true is this because I already graduated from rooting and custom ROMs (getting old I guess lol). I'm just loving the stock sense UI

After the 4.2.2 update I noticed my camera has purple tint. anyone has the same issue? :(

thanks @That70sGAdawg

I hope HTC will fix the purple tint in camera soon :( I hope this is just a software issue

@ohlad Are you sure the issue occured after 4.2.2? I am having the same issue and I'm not sure of the cause. Do you have a before and after you update pics? Thanks

Yes I am sure. I think it doesn't affect all HTC one though. I'm one of the first owners of HTC here in PH and the new ones doesnt have it. :(
