4.2 update rolling out!

Where do you find keyboard settings?

Settings > language & input, then touch the 3-slider button to the right of Asus keyboard. Under preferences, uncheck 'sound on keypress'.

That should do it. Other keyboards have similar options.

I keep checking on my ft700 and it keeps saying "no update available for your device? did the update get pulled? had no problems updating my tf300. anybody else having problems updating?

is anyone having an issue with the camera app? whenever i launch the camera app it says the camera firmware didnt install correctly and that it cannot be used until it is installed correctly, but whenever i click the check update button it doesnt give me the new camera firmware. i thought of clearing the cache and force closing the app, but there is no camera app in my settings, any suggestions?

Same boat here. No update to 4.2.1 as of 5/2/13, still resting at 4.1.1. I'm eager to get this, as I am dealing with some nasty laggy performance overall.

I'd like to add I found this
The update is for build number 10.6.1.14.4.
I am a 10.4.4.25.
That probably explains my lack of an update, and possibly yours.

UPDATE:

My update downloaded in later that night. It just didn't want to show up on the refresh for some reason. Good stuff, aside from the lock screen widgets being slightly buggy.

Well my infinity had to go to texas so asus could put the serial number which wasnt found on the os. Cant update without it. Tried manually but did not work. Plus, asus pulled the 4.2 update from their site. We?ll see if they fixed it this tuesday

Actually, the 4.2 firmware is back on their site. Just not where you expect it...
Go to Asus support drivers & downloads, put Transformer into the search box, select your model and the OS on the next page.

Btw, I'm in no way trying to sound rude, just wanted to let you know...

Though, sounds like you must have picked "the blue pill"
:-D

Being on stock, you still have lag.
Lots and lots of it. You might just be unaware of it, as I was when I got my tablet.

I too was on latest stock (recently), though, thanks to berndlb and his help, as well as sbdags and his cromi-x rom, omg, what a difference.

This is more an experience much like an ipad, not stock os. It is much more fluid, much smoother and faster animations (i.e. multitasking button behavior). Stock browser flies!
Wife has same tablet, is on stock os. I'm loading web pages, tablets side by side - we're both shocked how much faster mine is loading sites. Manually rebooted both tablets side by side and it arrives at home screen much faster too. (wife's tab en route to be unlocked and rooted too :-)

It's unfortunate for all of us tf700 owners that Asus didn't deliver this tablet the way it should have been.
We are plagued with I/O problems. This means that the tablet's memory is not top of the line and cannot do/handle much. It's like bottleneck traffic when the tablet's memory is reading/writing. Sbdags has alleviated most of the I/O problems, he's made the tablet what it should have been, and even better.

Rooting and unlocking is like taking" "the red pill", you find out how deep the rabbit hole goes :-D

Just got mine updated. Definitely an enormous improvement so far. Chrome is running great. Tablet is much more responsive. Was just getting ready to craigslist it.
