Have you put 4.3 update on your GNex yet? I was bummed that the 4.2 update actually made my GNex worse. Maybe I'll just ignore 4.3 and stick it out until I can get my Moto X. Your thoughts?

Are you rooted? because they made some vast improvements to 4.2.2 with some of the custom ROMs using linaro

I was going to root to put 4.3 on there if it is indeed an improvement, but im not too keen on flashing custom Roms. You think I should put 4.3 on it or look for some better Roms to improve things. No clue on when Verizon is gonna release the OTA 4.3 either.. Right now my Gnex is pretty much always on the charger and getting awful data reception.

Well keep in mind. 4.3 is still new. I know there are some custom ROMs with 4.3 and even a stock one.
But Im sure there will be more bugs with 4.3 than a 4.2.2 ROM. You arent missing much on the 4.3 update at all.
Seriously, Its like it never happened. Id Root and put a Purity on the phone. You will have a new respect for the phone. Trust me. Night and day

You don't need to root it just unlock the bootloader. Once the bootloader is unlocked flash a recovery and any one of the many 4.3 ROMs and be on your way!

I'm running a "shiny" 4.3 rom that is pretty much what the eventual OTA will be like. It's super simple, no need to root, and one of my favorite updates (4.2.2 was good to me as well).

I have the CyanogenMod 10.2 8/21 nightly (4.3) on mine, data networking isn't working, voice and WiFI are fine. I'm waiting for tonights release, hoping it fixes the networking problems, if not I'll go back to the last CM 4.2.2 nightly.
