hey, i have a non-rooted Verizon Samsung S4, I-545. i have been putting off the update until i had time to back it up, pull the SD card, etc. today i tried upgrading the firmware via Kies:
Current firmware version : PDA:MK2 / PHONE:MK2 / CSC:MK2 (VZW)
Latest firmware version : PDA:NC5 / PHONE:NC5 / CSC:NC5 (VZW)
it displays a warning and "agreement to collect and use information" window. here i've checked the first, but left optional set to "i do not agree." then it downloads the firmware upgrade components. next Kies crashes, giving me an "unknown error" dialog box.
is this due to disabled apps, like Knox, etc.? do i even want to upgrade to 4.4.2 or are Google and Samsung really going to roll out 4.4.3 as i've seen rumored here?
cheers
