4.4.3 for the LTE model?

What's the chances we skip 4.4.3 and go straight to 4.4.4?
Probably 100%, IF we even get an update. Google is not communicating with the public as to what is going on. As much as I like Google, they suck at customer service.

Well now I'm rather annoyed, I wanted to do the L preview on my Nexus 7 but the image they put out is the WiFi model only. Feels like the LTE model isn't part of the Nexus program.

Haven't seen the recent OTAs yet either.

4.4.3 must have been finally approved by the powers-to-be (Verizon and/or other carriers).

I got the notice it was available last evening - downloaded and installed.

Yes 4.4.3 has an image and OTA. No word on 4.4.4 or L preview for the nexus 7 LTE.

Whenever the next Nexus tablet comes out I'm certainly not going to pay all the extra money to just be left behind again.

No more LTE models for me. With AT&T disabling the hot-spot on it and knowing Verzion has there nasty paws in there, it's WiFi for me.

Just curious. I am assuming the software is the same if you run stock on your Nexus 7 LTE and I run stock on my Nexus 7 LTE.

I use a Verizon sim (actually one that has unlimited data from a smartphone line) and my hotspot and usb tethering work fine. Are you saying that you get it blocked or have an error message when you use an AT&T sim? If so, that's interesting.

I am rooted now, but hotspot was working on Verizon when I was unrooted.

Are you rooted or unrooted? If you are rooted, I think XDA might have a workaround.

Verizon is one of the few carriers that allows sim swapping with no negative ramifications to the best of my knowledge.

I love using my Nexus 7 with an unlimited data plan.

Thanks for the heads up Diesteldorf. Its not a huge loss to me as my Nexus 5 tethers fine. Its the holding up of updates and other malarkey by the crony carries that influence my purchases.

4.4.3 has an OTA now but I haven't seen a 4.4.4 yet.

I broke down and bought a WiFi only model so I could check out the L preview :(

Wow, I was wondering about that - and thinking about doing the same thing.

Seems about $120-150 is the going rate, and my dad gets a Nexus 7 when I'm done.

Yeah, I want the 32gb and haven't seen one in good enough condition on any of the usual sites. I'm still looking around, though.

I'm using the PhonePower applet in my regular N7. It makes my VOIP landline account portable. What do you guys think of that as an alternative to LTE? I still need a wifi connection obviously, but I can make virtually free calls from anywhere.

I'm using the PhonePower applet~

Seems irrelevant to this discussion, might want to start your own thread.

On topic, the LTE model still stuck at 4.4.3. Still a bit irked this "nexus" is being left out with no L preview either.

I got the WiFi only model yesterday and that's up to date no problem. Did the L preview and that's definitely worth checking out with a spare device.

Yeah, that makes no sense to me. Not like they don't know how to work with an LTE device... Being that the Nexus 5 seems to have no issues with it. I really think I'm just going to pick up one of those cheap refurbished devices on eBay and use that until whatever new Nexus comes out.

I still don't have 4.4.3, which means My HTC One is now a version *ahead* of my alleged Nexus device. Absolutely inexcusable.

I purchased a 32GB Nexus 7 LTE from my local BestBuy store yesterday. Shelf and online price both said $349 but it rang up at $299.

As soon as I powered it up and connected to my Wi-Fi, it downloaded the 4.4.3 update. I also manually installed the Google Now Launcher from the Play Store, then proceeded to install all my other apps.
