4.5" Screen Confirmation??

Unfortunately as GBH2 pointed out, there is too great of camera angle error in calculating the size to be accurate. Thank you for the effort though. We are just going to have to wait it out. Hopefully tomorrow the FCC documents will spill the beans.

Ah, I thought you had a strait on photo. Just looked at the galleries, and there isn't one. Oh well.

I don't use CAD software, but couldn't you estimate and adjust for the camera angle by measuring the distortion of the right angles on the screen? Or, you could just wait until tomorrow. ...

I like the work Jasp. Well done. I also hope it is true, would be surprised we have not gotten any confirmation of a 4.5 though through all the leaked pictures. Here is to hoping.

The CAD app was brilliant, and 4.5 would be great, but unfortunately, ALL people from the beginning of time that leak photos of not yet released phones, are incapable of taking a decent, clear, straight on picture. Federal law dictates that any leaked photo must be out of focus and poorly composed.

I'm sure that someone with an unreliable source will chime in to this thread any moment now with some very official sounding speculation, presented as fact.

I don't know if I'd be so sure about that. The user manual looks to be like it's from the Droid X/X2. If you notice it shows how to take the battery door off it shows a Droid X. Also it shows the power button in the center on the user manual like the Droid X when it's really on the left on the Bionic. Not sure that the user manual is accurate.

i did a little work using the FCC photos and known port sizes on the phone, (USB and headset). The overall dimensions seem to be 7 inches by 2.5 inches. if someone else wants to countinue this go ahead

Unless the displays are in the same position and both at same relative center, how can anything be confirmed? Not to mention the drawings show too thin of a bezel compared to the new pics. The Bionic appears to have a big bezel and 4.3"display. Seems some folks are trying to will a 4.5" display.

Whoever drew the pics shows the top of the display to be almost flush with the Motorola logo. The assumption is way too thin.
