4 gold switches on Bionic?????

Does anyone know what the 4 gold swtches are beside the battery just a little above the USB and HDMI port but they are in the back under the cover.

I am hoping that since there are 4 contacts back there (since charging usually needs only 2-3) that it could mean that an upgraded battery cover is released that adds NFC....one can dream...
