42mm killing Note 8 battery

Just notice my watch is consuming a crazy amount of my phones battery.
Seems bluetooth is the culprit. In a 12 hour period it is responsible for 35% of the usage. More than 3 hours of screen time.
Not running any unusual apps and did a factory reset on the watch.
Anyone experiencing the same?
