42mm Rose Gold Galaxy watch backordered?

I preordered my watch on august 13th. It was supposed to ship out by august 24th (tomorrow) and I just checked my order page and it now says backordered.

I never received an email....what gives? We preorder for a reason...to be able to get them right away.

Anybody have any experience with this? Should I call them? Anybody else's watch backordered?

Yup... mine was backordered as well. I just called them and they said they had no information yet on when it will be shipped (46mm Silver Galaxy Watch), so i will have to wait for an email. But they said that it shouldn't be long. I hope so :/

This is irritating. The whole idea of preordering is getting it on or before release day and not having to worry about it being backordered. Let me know if you get any updates! I talked to a rep on chat and they told me it would ship tomorrow as of their last update..

Exactly! This is very weird and i have never faced this issue with any preorders from Samsung before... I will post updates as soon as i get some more info!

They also told me that shipping takes 1-5 days...I thought the free shipping was 2 day. I may be wrong..

I saw mine was backordered too. I tired contacting them, but i kept getting transferred around with no one having any answers. Maybe the back ordered tag is for people pre ordering now because when I tried to pre order a new watch, the site said it wont ship till the "week of September 2nd". So I really hope that those of us who pre ordered earlier (August 10th for me), will have theirs shipped tomorrow as was promised.

I sure hope so. My understanding was that they would be delivered by 8/24. Id be perfectly happy if it shipped tomorrow though.

You would think (or hope) the first batch of orders would ship prior to 9.2 but I guess we'll have to just wait and see.

I do too! I dont think anyones has actually shipped yet. Id be alittle more concerned if they have shipped some and not others.

One would think so! I am going to be upset if it doesnt ship by the end of the day today. Im not going to even bother with trying to call them about it because it takes an hour to talk to someone and once you do, nobody has a clue whats going on.

Just got on the phone with them and they said they have no idea. Amazon says it will ship through them in 1-2 days and Best Buy says it can be store pickup on 9/5...

I just ordered the watch through amazon...if they ship first ill cancel my samsung order and vice versa. This is rediculous.

I finally received an email from Samsung saying they "hit a speed bump" and the order is delayed. They say they will refund my "expedited shipping" fee and promise to have my watch shipped by the 31st. Meanwhile... they have shipped the extra band I ordered (that's going to do me a lot of good without the watch). I guess it isn't the end of the world but I'm truly disappointed. It better be worth the wait.
