45watt charger

I checked it today it charged in 52 minutes from 1% to 100%
Super charge 2.0 writing goes off that's why I thought it wasn't working.

Do you have Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra?
Also do you have 45Watt charger?
I have both! 0% to 70% in about 30 mins
And under a 1nhour to fully charge to 100%
The included charger does 0 to 100 in 1 hour and 9 mins around those marks...
The big difference is in the first 30 mins of charge...

Eh. 45W is a waste of money. It only charges the device about 10min faster in total from zero to 100, plus it degrades the battery faster than having it at lower wattage. 10min faster charging isn't worth a faster degradation of battery. (Oppo confirmed to Anandtech that internal testing on batteries reveal that charging it by 40W will degrade to 70% battery capacity at the same rate a 15W charger will degrade to 90% capacity)

Also, to the guy whose wife charges from lile 80% to 100% always, it's even more useless for your wife to use a fast charger because fast charging is throttled at above 80%. At 80%, the 45W, 25W, and 15W charger all charge at the same speed (12W) because charging faster is dangerous for the battery that close to full. They only charge at max speed below 60% then start to charge slower after that.

Edited: originally said Xiaomi instead of Oppo

Are you saying the charger exceeds the batteries C rate of charge?

Can't be sure. But I'm repeating what a reputable reviewer said. This is Andrei from Anandtech we're talking about here.

Also made a mistake in my previous post. It's Oppo not Xiaomi.

Me !

Me

Would you like to come and tell a 60 yr old woman that she is not charging her battery right.

They have new phones at the store Don't they.
They replace the batteries at the stores don't they.

I have always charged my phones the same way.
The Iphone 5 was charged the same way. Both me and my sister in law used them.
Will I gave her my Samsung Galaxy S8+ that she is using today.
She don't want another Iphone. Even though her sons has Iphones.
One said he needs a a I phone for the programs as a doctor to use.

She has fell in luv with the S8+

She is still learning how to use it. I spent hours with her. But not much was retained.
And I don't want to go threw it again.
She can google it.
Or find another way.

https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-note-10-fast-charging-1020143/

Found this article. Basically the 45W charger on the Samsung is 10V/4.5A...

If I understand C rate correctly, that means if you're using it on a 4000mah battery, then 4.5A is above C rate. If on a 4500mah battery, it's exactly C rate.

Edit: interestingly Battery university advises that batteries charge between 0.5-1C. The 25W charger falls here S20 line up.

But since the Ultra I think has a 5000mah battery, then it should take the 45W charger no issues unlike the two other smaller devices.
