46 mm vs. 42 mm battery life?

Re: 46 mm vs. 42 mm battery life

Turned Always on off. Does crazy good for battery life. As stated elsewhere, multi-days good.
So turned it back on and disabled Wrist-Gestures.
Hope it is an even swap. We shall see.

Oh no, it is typically nowhere near an even swap :) But if you can comfortably get through a full day with some spare, then that is all that really matters.

Re: 46 mm vs. 42 mm battery life

I work about 12-15 hour days and with my 46mm I get to about 40 percent battery by the time I get home. I have auto brightness on and it turns of when I'm not looking at it. I've also been swapping out watch faces every hour or so finding the right one, as well as using voice reply for texts all day, so I'm assuming those would both drain the battery more.

I have noticed that if I'm not swapping watch faces constantly the battery drain is far far less and I'll go home with anywhere between 50-70 percent.

I started this thread a few weeks ago and went ahead and bought the men's 42mm watch a week ago. So far I'm very happy. I have the watch off the charger 14-15 hours a day and end up with 40%-50% battery remaining at the end of the day.
- "always on" enabled
- "tilt to wake" enabled
- Google Fit counting steps
- location (GPS) disabled on phone unless actually needed (very rarely)
- Pujie Black watch face with 3 indicators and discrete seconds
- latest Android Wear on phone and watch, AT&T GS6 Android 5.1.1
The watch is black and is just a bit bigger than the old Timex Ironman I've worn for years. I'm happy with the way it looks, feels and operates!
However, it's a real drain in my Galaxy S6. A couple of times I've gotten the battery low warning at 15%. Previously I was showing 30%-40% at bedtime. I haven't had time to explore this, but I need to go back to the threads on GS6 battery life and review all that again. I did do clear cache, but that didn't make any difference.
