Does the new evo support both 4g and 4glte?

no. just lte. the old evo ran on sprints 4g wi-max network. when lte is finally up the new evo will run on their lte network. not both. for now just 3g...

The reason why i ask is because I'm picking up 4G every once in a while, I live in Indiana so the 4Glte isn't available in my area.

Yes, it's part of the Chicago market so you are picking up LTE signal off and on until it's officially launched.

I'm in eastern NC and was picking up WiMAX on my old EVO. Sprint also says there is no 4g service in my area. Hoping it jumps to LTE, but idk what kind of conversions they have to make.

Think they have a contract w Wimax provider until 2013 so.... That stinks.

when saying "i have 4g" please make reference to what kind of phone it is. evo4g or evo 4g lte (or others)

I live bout 20 mins from mville,but thats the first time i heard anything about them testing.I was just in mville yesterday n didnt pick up 4g lte .I have the evo 4glte
