Hi there!
I just purchased a wireless microphone for my T-Mobile Revvl 2 Plus running Android 8.1.0. The microphone has a receiver that is supposed to be directly plugged into the phone. I tried recording a video with it, but it doesn't work. When I plug the mic, there's a popup window saying "Your phone can charge other phone. And the battery will reduce quickly during the charging."
The seller's website says I'm supposed to turn on OTG in the phone's parameters, but I can't find the option.
I tried multiple OTG checker apps before buying the mic, they all said my phone was compatible (including "USB OTG Checker", which said my phone was compatible and even detected the microphone, which appeared as "USB Composite Device").
Then once I had the mic I tried "USB Host Diagnostics" (no longer available on Google Play, I downloaded the apk somewhere else), and here is what it said:

Android API: claims support: yes ; classes found: yes ; device detected: yes
Kernel: Claims support: yes ; device detected: no
Verdict: OS support: no ; 3rd party apps: no

I'm confused by the fact that the Android API parts all say "yes"...
I also tried the developper settings, changing the USB Configuration from MTP to Audio source, and checked and unchecked the "Disable USB audio routing" checkbox (as suggested in some video I watched) and restarting the phone. But nothing worked.
However, the microphone works perfectly on my computer, so I guess the problem is not mith the mic itself.
Could someone please help?
Thanks

But I'm confused... My microphone is a USB-C. All the OTG adapters I found on the internet allow to plug a USB-A into a phone's USB-C port. But the microphone is not USB-A. I didn't find any adapter that is USB-C on both ends...

Have you contacted the manufacturer of the microphone and asked them?

Unfortunately, I doubt if anyone here owns that microphone and phone combination you have.

If it were me, I'd return the microphone for a refund if the manufacturer couldn't provide a solution.
