Hello All,

I am new to Andorid switching from iPhone and iPads.

I have a Tab S 8.4 4G T705. Quite often, my 4G will show uplink only (Up arrow on the top status bar), and couldnt download anything. Anyone else expericing this issue? Using the same SIM card as my iPhone before with no issue.

Cheers
Nelson

Have you checked with your carrier to see if they're experiencing problems, or are upgrading the tower you're on? It could also be a hardware problem (the radio) or a firmware problem (the modem) in the tablet. Someone has to check it when it's not working (unless the carrier admits that it's their problem.)

Yes, I am getting the same issue. I have a 10.5" model T805. I have found that switching to airplane mode for a few seconds and then back again resolves the issue - with data download resuming at full speed imediatelly. Still very annoying and not what I would expect from a premium tablet.

Don't think it is a network issue as it occurs in different locations, seemingly whenever I regain network coverage after it has been lost e.g. train tunnel etc. Also, I have a phone on the same network which is unaffected.

Have searched in vain for any solution and you are first person I have heard reporting the same symptoms. Good to know it's not just me! Anyone else?

Have the T-700 wifi only and I've seen this a couple of times, thought it was me......I have noticed that as soon as I (or the tablet) send out another packet the downloads start again. This seems to narrow the problem to one of firmware as the radio boards are totally different. I don't have a clue as to a solution.

Same problem here with a T705. It seems to have got worse in the last couple of weeks. I have to use airplane mode or restart the tablet every few minutes. Really, bad.
