So this sucks 4G keeps switching back and forth to 3G on this 2.10 build anybody verify that? Also anybody that can verify it and has switched to 2.11 are you still experiencing this same issue or any 4G issues for that matter?

Since I loaded 2.11 RUU I haven't been near a 4G area. As soon as I can I will let you know.

Although only the 3G radio was changed in 2.11, that could still account for the switching differences you are seeing.

Additionally, simply because a phone does not "hold" 4G like it used to is not necessarily a bad thing. You've heard people complain of 4G speeds that are much worse than 3G speeds. That is probably a case of the phone holding onto 4G when it shouldn't have. The most important thing, IMHO, is that it switches fast without interruption in data flow while switching, whatever radio it uses.

WIFI SUCKS ON 2.10...really does...keeps cutting in and out and with itunes remote...its really annoying...i have the exclamation point so im hopping 2.11 fixes this...

I have no 4G problems on 2.10. Have had it on the phone for 2 days now and have not had it switch to 3G at all.

I experience frequent data connection loss altogether. It happens randomly any time the mobile network connection is shut off and restarted. This happened when I try to boot it in fast boot, toggle the mobile network off/on, or when Juice Defender kills the mobile data to save battery.

2.07 had no issues, so I may have to reroot to get back to it. Does anyone know if I can just flash the radios from 2.07 standalone onto the 2.10 build?

I had a minor hiccup in data connection last night but a quick turn off then back on of mobile data got it right back. I do have slower data speeds though so I agree, the radios in 2.10 are not the best. Isnt the 4G radio in 2.11 the same? That's what I've read in some posts.

I'm running 2.10 and haven't had any problems with 4g. I have solid 4g all the time I never even see 3g. But i'm in SF 4g everywhere. I guess I'll stay with 2.10 till something better comes along.

I'm not by any means in fringe coverage. I live and work within the same cell site (the entire cell site covers about 10 square miles), which includes five LTE+eHRPD towers. I have not left 4G coverage since the MR2 was successfully deployed. Yes, the two did coincide lol.

Aside, I was pulling 25 Mbps on the MR2 radio with no loss of data service. The only things I did not care for was the speed at which it took the data to connect when booting up in fast boot.

Now, on the 2.10 build, I'm pulling 6-8 Mbps, and I frequently lose all data connection. No 2G, no 3G, no 4G. I and another one of my team members with a similar issue with his Thunderbolt on the 2.10 build have been submitting connection data to my team on the outside chance that we end up deploying this radio with the official OTA update, as I foresee my workload increasing dramatically, and we want to be ahead of the issue.

I really hope the R&T department does not push that radio in the update, but sadly that department honestly does not really listen to us until there is a major problem like the MR1. Yes, we root and flash leaked software to stay ahead of our own coworkers lol.

Mortiel I must agree with you on this point, I've trying this new radio 1.48.00.0817r, 0.01.78.0802w_3 and have a lot of weird activity. For me I do live in fringe area, so it in a way it is good for me to a point so that I can test how the radios do actually perform. Bad on my battery though due excessive switching.

One thing I notice with this new radio is if I am on one end of my house I have a decent 4G signal and then move 20-40 ft. to the other side with leaving the phone screen off. Then wake the phone after say 20-30 mins. of standby and either there is no signal for a while or maybe get 3G like I am supposed to. Also notice if it switches to 3G it will set there for some time when I know that there should be 4G signal instead. I look in under radio info and notice that it changed my settings from Cdma+Lte/Evdo to Cdma Auto Prl on it's own.

I have used the last 3 Leaked GB radios (MR3) 1.46.00.0704, 0.01.76.0703_2 and after 2 weeks messed up my 3G and had to get a new sim card. Then tried (MR3.25) 1.48.00.0726, 0.01.78.0802 seemed to perform better, but have some serious battery drain even when moving around traveling to nearby towns. Would have a problem acquiring proper data signal or alot of switching back in forth with 1x/3G/4G as you stated

Reminds me like you stated as well, that new radios or like having the oirginal MR1 and some MR2 where they can not figure out what is the proper signal to acquire. These newer radios are somewhat a major disappointment, mostly being the 3G acquiring radio side of the phone/coding. To me the 4G is greater improvement in signal acquiring abilities in the past.

Yes it would be nice if Verizon Wireless would listen to you/your contacts and to their customers stating these signal issues. That way with the information they gather from not just from field engineers, but customers who actually do more testing sort of speak all day with the phones can pass the new info/data gathered along to HTC for a proper fixing for these radios.

What I like to know is that there have been 2 other LTE phones released Charge/Revolution have they had this much trouble with their radios?

It would be help if others are using these new radios if everyone could respond with their observations/input on how there 3G/4G signal is performing their area.

I'm running 2.10 with no wifi issues at all. I'm reading over at xda this morning about LTE outages in quite a few places across the USA.

I have exactly the same problem. I am still on stock froyo. My local grocery store.has zero data signal. It always has been that way. Even if I don't use the phone if I walk in then out after shopping I have no data even in strong signal.areas. battery and sim card out and in gets.me data back but every time I go into that store or.anywhere else with zero.signal it takes 10 to 20 minutes to get signal.again. turning network off then on has no effect. Restarting phone does.get.data back but of course that's a 5 minute wait too.
