Anyone have issues holding a 4G signal in fringe areas?

I drop sometimes and if I toggle airplane mode it fixes it.

If you are in a 4G area that has low signal this may happen frequently. Before our towers got updated I had issues holding a 4G signal but now I have full signal and its been solid. Could just be the area that you are in and cycling your network is a temporary fix.

I am unable to get a 4G connection at all and I work in a strong 4G area everyday:-(
I have heard of similar issues with the sgs3, and that a new Sim could help?
I guess I would need to unroot before heading over to Verizon for support.

I think it depends on a lot of factors...Hills, buildings, WEATHER, phone, radios, cases, etc. If you're in a fringe area, then yes, it will be harder to keep a signal than in a strong area, but again, a lot depends on all the other stuff also. I had a GNex I loved, but couldn't get a 3G signal at home half the time. Returned it and got an S3, and now I have 4G in my basement even. I believe I went from a bad GNex to a great S3 is what happened. The girl who works at BB in Loveland (and is smoking hot, too...so if you're reading this sweetheart, call me, maybe...lol) had a GNex, lives a couple blocks away and had 4G no problem.
