No, not really, but thats what a lot've people who I know seem to think when I tell them about the new phone I'm getting. All my friends know I'm pretty obsessed with phones, but absolutely none of them think anything of 4G, several of them even said things like the title. I try to explain how much faster in terms of mbps and how its up to 10x faster, but some of them still think Sprint is crazy and is trying to brainwash people into using the same radio waves that they cleverly named 4G. Then they don't believe me when I say Verizon and AT&T are getting 4G too, which leads me to explain the difference between Wimax and LTE. Then they're all like... well if it doesn't work inside cause of the high frequency, then its not better than 3G right? Then I just facepalm. This has really been bugging me, have any of you had similar experiences?

the proof is in the pudding.

when you get your phone, more than likely, they'll be envious to some extent.

My friends call me a phone-wh*re (excuse my language).

They know that when I like a phone, then it's definitely the best thing out. So they pretty much believe me when I tell them about the Evo and Sprint's 4G service. So nope, no problems here.

I was going to start a thread but I may just post it here. If 4G is so weak inside how is it even possible that Sprint can charge $30 more to make the home a WiFi hotspot when it will be touch and go at best to get 4G speeds while inside? My sister has Clear Internet and it is not very reliable according to her. I'm afraid that when this phone is launched a lot of complaints will be made about this feature's performance and give the phone a bad rep it doesn't fully deserve. Just my prediction/fear. Thoughts?

I have read that Clearwire service can be hit or miss, but I don't think I have read anyone complaining about the Overdrive not working inside (besides, who would really use it outside - but on sceond thought, commercials always show people in cabs or around a campfire using the Overdrive..hum). But it's a phone so that could make a difference. Really, we'll just have to see once it rolls nationally (the EVO) and 4G users get some air time with it.

I live in an area that has had clearwire for more than 3 years and t first the coverage was spotty but since then its come along way and work very good and if its caring the 4G signals for sprint then it should bring phone data speed that have never been seen before.
