This is the Sprint i've come to expect so i'm really not even surprised. And from the way it looks, the penetration in N. Atlanta is going to be as sketchy as it was with wimax.

ATL (Vinings). They've turned it up today...

There is a great article on the inconsistencies of your 4G connection at s4gru.com. I highly suggest everyone take the time to read it. I also suggest joining the forums at s4gru.com and becoming a sponsor member, so that you will have access to the frequently updated interactive maps showing the current state of towers in your immediate area.

Atlanta only has about 20% of its towers upgraded to Network Vision at the moment, with the rest slated to be upgraded over the next 6 months. LTE coverage will continue to improve as new Network Vision towers come online.

Was in Stockbridge yesterday, off 138 and 75. I was able to get a good strong 4G signal!

ATL (Vinings) today at lunch. These are the the first speed tests I've posted that were taken outside. All the others were inside Corp buildings (by a window)...

Palo, you said in an earlier post that you live around Newnan. Are you getting good signal down there as well?

Northern part of Newnan off of hwy 29 near Arbor Springs has 4g. I was in Union City near walmart and was getting a strong 4g signal. I live near ashley park off the bypass. No 4g there yet. It's really hard to know exactly where the service is because the phone has a hard time locking on a signal while you're moving in a car. Once you stop driving it seems to be able to lock on a signal. I have also had to toggle between cdma and lte/cdma in order for it to pick up a 4g signal.

Driving home through midtown today and my phone found some LTE. Held it most of the way down Juniper and east on Ponce up until just before Briarcliff. Did one speed test at a light and it wasn't impressive, but it was there...

Found some LTE action on 400 just north of the perimeter. Lost it once I passed back inside...

I've been all over town since the rollout and I have only seen a couple of minutes of LTE once in Dunwoody. Looks like it is not really available in much of town.
