"4G" plans

Confirmed. I thought they were going to be able to grandfather my unlimited tethering plan when I bought an Inspire last week (outright, no contract mod). Turned out they would only grandfather the unlimited data - tethering would be limited to 4GB for $60.

I ended up returning the Inspire and keeping my old Tilt until I can get a phone that I can keep my plan. Still waiting for them to reactivate my old plan. The Inspire was sweet - for a day.

that's just amazing to me... So is it $60 on top of the data plan?? Because if thats the case then I don't understand why people would continue to use their service. I know that at T-Mobile that if your mobile hotspot feature is turned off, then the tethering feature is only $15 a month in addition to your data plan, with no limit as to how much data you tether.

I had heard AT&T was bad, but I never realized they were that bad.

that won't be on at&t... if you can't keep it now for tethering, then a different phone will not change that.
