My wife and my EVO's both got 4G service at Tyrone Mall in St. Petersburg FL today. Signal strength was low and speeds were in the 3.5 -4.5Mb range down and about .5 to .6 up. Signal strength was poor to fair.

My wife also spotted 4G service in the Tampa airport about 2 weeks ago.

I read in a related thread that it's supposed to be turned on September 18th. We'll see.

I get "strong" 4G signal at Publix in St Pete at 66th st n and 38th ave all day long, but my speeds are never more than ~4 down and ~1 up. When I get to my home in Largo the signal is poor to fair, with speeds ~ 2-3 down and ~1 up. Any official info on how far south "Tampa" 4G signal will cover?

Sprint Rep told me a 150 mile radius; I really hope he was right so I can use 4g here in largo.
