Anyone else have a problem where they have plenty good 4G signal like 2-3 bars and sometimes 4 and the phone just switches to 3G?!? I can't even count the times I've been with co workers who have 4G Verizon phones and they get 4G and I'm sitting on 3G in the same spot! I've also noticed while driving in a car this phone will almost always like 80% of the time be on 3G then when I pull into a parking lot or what not then magically 4G appears. Anyone else have these problems or have a cure? Thanks...

The bars indicate voice signal strength only. Try to restart your phone first. I find that 3g has a stronger signal than 4G, same as you, in weaker signal areas, it switches to 4G. You can inspect your 4G antenna in the back cover as well as make sure that the back cover is firmly on. Other than that, you can download "LTE onoff " from the android market and switch to "LTE only with voice". This would force your phone to connect to 4glte, and would not let it connect to 3g. Beware though, that if there is no 4G signal, then it would connect to 1x if you put it on that setting. But still, you can try and see how it goes.

dpham's suggestion is right on....reboot your phone.

I normally leave my phone on all the time...use an inductive charger. I had a similar problem once, called Verizon about it and they said LTE phones should be rebooted every few weeks to refresh the network LTE data. I rebooted and all was fine.

I now reboot every 2-3 weeks and havent had the problem since.

rebooting seems to have worked for me too, it would happen to me every few days, but I pretty much reboot weekly now and it's went away

Rezound has some really solid radios in them. Since you seem unsure of signal strength in your coverage area or if you want to get an idea of what's available around you. There's an app that might be worth checking out. In GooglePlay, find Open Signal Maps. This app shows you tower locations and your proximity to them, signal strength monitoring and several other tools. This app does use juice b/c it monitors in realtime, so it's also using some ram while doing it's thing. I'd only recommend keeping this one on your phone if you use wifi with mobile data off or your on an unlimited data plan. If not just check it out, get an idea what's going on in your area, then uninatall it.

My issues are similar. I get stuck in 1X while another phone beside it has 4G. I had 2 Rezounds and 2 sim cards. This has happened over a period of months with both phones and sim cards. I would take you 3G issues anyday over my 1x issues...lol.

All I can suggest is exchanging the phone, and/or sim cards. Or try another phone altogether.

Either quality control is lacking with all these manufactures....or some of these phones just have issues....that everyone doesnt see.
