You may want to try a factory reset or at least a cache partition wipe.

You may also want to utilize punctuation.

I also don't know if it a glitch or what because when it was fully caged it say 17 hours at about 98 % and then showed less it done that twice

The battery amount is an estimate and it is based on the previous 7 days use. The amount I'd time can and will, change.

Agree with the punctuation comment earlier. Your choices are .!? or even ¿ at the beginning of the sentence if you habla español.

Yea factory reset is a must after any update on an android device. I phones aren't immune either. A factory reset is aren't fix all just like a windows install

Not shure about the coment about it be a Estimate As it shows all the time and I will give it a few days before a factory and I real would like not to do if I don't need to

Btw sorry for my bad spelling

Mine is showing only 5 or 6 hours of battery left when it was much longer on 5.0.1. I really don't want to do a factory reset, but will if you guys think it will help. Also, I may need a new battery. Unfortunately I can't afford a new one right now.

So far I can't tell any difference after the update. I didn't do a factory reset but simply wiped the cache.

Just as I posted on my own thread, SO FAR, 5.1.1 has been a slight improvement for my battery. I'm usually down to about 60% and 1.5 hours screen time. I'm at at 75% with almost 1.5 hours screen time. I did do a Factory Reset; however, it's an old battery. I have a new one that has been through just a few cycles, but I haven't tested that one yet.

5.0.1 I'd get between 3-4 hours Screen on Time with the old battery. 5-6 with the new one.
5.1.1 I have yet to cycle through, but it looks like it might end up being 4-5 with the old battery and hopefully 6-8 with the new one. We'll see.

Again, remember a new update can cause the battery to not be as good right at first. This isn't abnormal.

My battery life has improved by about one hour of screen on time. Been using the phone since 0330 this morning. On 5.0.1 I would have gotten about 3.5-4 hours SOT.

I updated yesterday and today got SoT of about 3-3 1/2 hours. It's only the first day though and I may need a new battery.

As for factory resets... When going through upgrades like this, there are a lot of things in the background that get updated. The Android Runtime is often bumped up to a new version, etc... all these system processes that interface with the applications. And sometimes, stuff just doesn't come up to the new version correctly. So the new system struggles to work with obsolete data... this can lead to errors, force closing applications, reboots, poor battery life.

Some people upgrade without even a sniff of a problem, others have horrible luck. But everyone's phone is different... everyone's usage, apps, etc... all unique to you and THAT exact phone. When you hit a MAJOR upgrade... like 5.0 to 5.1, you should always be on a quick trigger when it comes to a factory reset.

Yes, it can be a bit of a pain to do... but it could mean the difference between an excellent working device and one you want to throw against a wall.

If it's that your SGN4 (your phone) doesn't recharge even when plugged into a power source, try this:

1. Put the phone in "Flight Mode" to disable any kind of antenna it has (GSM, WLAN/WiFi, bluetooth, FM radio, GPS, etc.).
2. Shutdown the phone.
3. Recharge it while its shutdown.

If it's that 5.1.1 is one heck of a power guzzler then you might wanna check the RAM of the SGN4; I believe it should have something like 3GB of RAM (I know the SGN3 has 3GB). Maybe 3GB plus your background-running apps + 5.1.1 = hyperdrain of the battery.

This is just my guess...especially since my puny little Samsung GT-I8262 running 4.1.2 with just 1GB of RAM and 55% of its internal 8GB space used is so frustratingly sluggish that I frequently feel like throwing the phone against a brick wall at high velocity.

Good luck.

That sounds interesting; could you please explain how its done? I also have a frustratingly sluggish phone (4.1.2 with 1GB of RAM and about 55% of its 8GB internal memory used by OS, my apps and bloatware).
