Hey there,

Wanted to get some feedback on your experience with the Note 4 5.1.1 update. Ha e had it going for about an hour now, no issues and performance feels good. Couple of thoughts:

OTA process was fine, took about 30 minutes to download and install. No major hiccups but the usual hang at the yellow Sprint screen and then the obligatory 10 minutes of "Android is updating 3/98 apps"

Animation scale seems different, dunno if this is performance based or there are some extra frames of something somewhere, but if feels smoother

Got a new pop-up and option with the multitask button, adding split screen icon and function to panel menu is neat!

Software/Baseband version is N910PVPU4COG5

My phone just finished and got the multi task pop up feature aswell. So far so good. App drawer is really quick for me now.

Totally, I'm blown away how much faster the multi task button is now...like, it feels faster than even my Nexus 7 on that action.

I just received the update as well. I really don't notice anything different as of yet. We will see.

Downloading it now. I think I'm in the first batch. This is the 3rd time I've got an update on day 1. 😊

Can someone confirm if the sprint hotspot works with this update WITHOUT the work around hack for free hotspot please?

Can someone confirm if the lag when viewing a newly taken photo is gone?

What about the bluetooth audio skipping issue when the screen is off?

Thanks.

The lag for viewing new photos is not gone. Just tested and it still took over 20 seconds to open a picture I just took.

I want to know about battery life, I'm trying to decide whether to downgrade back to Kit Kat or not.

Eager to know the battery life. My note 4 has only 3 hour screen-on time with 5.0.1, totally useless.

Just updated..finally! Lag free. Except the picture lag after taking a pic, but its to be expected with an sd card (from my experience )

Whoah, did anyone else read the patch notes? There's a stage fright fox in this release, which explains the delay versus the Note Edge. That would make this the first Android device with that fix right? Like on any device or any carrier?

I think all carrier updates (at least with Sprint) can be downloaded as soon as they're available.
