5.1.1 Sprint OTA for Note 4 (not edge)- "stuff" and Performance Observations

Whoah, did anyone else read the patch notes? There's a stage fright fox in this release, which explains the delay versus the Note Edge. That would make this the first Android device with that fix right? Like on any device or any carrier?

Yep! I read that! That makes this update worthwhile considering it took longer than the Note Edge's.

Can anyone check out the camera app to see if they added Raw support? I'm stuck on Verizon so we don't have the update yet.

Don't see anything related to RAW in the camera software.

If the update allows RAW saving or manual camera options, you won't see that in the stock camera app. There is an app called Manual Camera Compatibility Test and if you run that and it reports manual options available you have to use a third party camera app to take advantage of the manual options.

Nope, but that wasn't in the Galaxy S6/either so wasn't really expecting it. Hadn't played around with Google Camera through...maybe there's support in hardware. Not the photophile guy though, so I'm probably not the right one to ask...you want to talk games, I'm your guy all day long!

Speed does seem better in this update.. hopefully battery life, also. I'm doing a factory reset anyway after the major update.

Takes about three seconds for my last picture taken to open from the camera. Faster for me.

Just updated..finally! Lag free. Except the picture lag after taking a pic, but its to be expected with an sd card (from my experience )

I don't think that has anything to do with the SD card. I keep my photos on the internal storage, and I still get the lag.

Wireless charging isn't a popup anymore. It's a Toast Notification.

Plus it doesn't stay in the Status Bar or Notifications Pull down.

Just got the update for my Note 4, however, my battery life went from 75% to 46% in 40 minutes. Have anyone else experienced this to? If so, how did you correct it?

All I have ever done is unchecked Connection Optimizer, clicked on Power Saving Mode, put brightness down to 70%. Just took another screenshot of my battery usage. For my battery is exceptional and I have been on my phone damn near all day to see how my battery is. Take notice of the other screen shots I posted and also how long I have been running on my battery since last charge.
