5.1.1 Update

Has anyone done the 5.1.1 update for the S6 Edge yet?

If so, who is your carrier?

Is your edge screen showing missed call, email, text, etc notifications?

Mine isn't even lighting up and has an error for those. Don't know if it was fine before the update. I updated it when I took it out of the box.

Mine was updated when I got it out of the box also. You mean when the phone is asleep and I check the edge for clock, notifications etc? I don't use that feature much but yes I see it there also.

Mine wasn't updated from the box, I did the update.

My clock works and the info stream but if I get a text, email or missed call, my edge doesn't light up and the notifications can be loaded, no notification. I'm not sure if it is a phone NE problem or 5.1.1 problem and a new S6E will do the same thing.

Wait do you mean yours was updated from the box or you updated it when you got it?

When did you get yours?

I got mine on Tuesday and yes it came updated. I just checked the edge. My edge lights up when placed upside down for my favorites and my edge shows that tab for notifications for my favorites. However, I did notice it's not showing my texts on my edge when it's asleep...

The 2nd update for the 5.1.1 I updated the next day. It fixed my burning hot phone and the battery draining it was doing.

Please call tmobile and report this. I did today, call Samsung too. None are familiar with this issue.

OK, this is the issue.. You must have notifications on lock screen turned on.
