I just read in the other post that it will roll out to more users at 12PM CST. Download it then, and eat crow in a couple of hours. I got lucky and snagged the OTA as soon as I saw it.

Ok so the title of your post claims 55.4 fps and the in the post itself you talk about 54.3. Right, what does the number in the title represent? And for that game to run at that rate, EA must have hired a miracle kid programmer. Also, since you are smart enough to get a game that isn't publicly available yet, and since you are the only person in the US to have gotten the update, why is it too much to ask for you to post some screen shots or a video as proof? Also, how did you measure the framerate in NFS?
While I would love for this to be true, I think you're full of it.

I'm used to seeing this in the camera forums. Somebody claims to have the new camera before it is supposed to be officially available. People get angry and demand proof. They accuse the person of lying. Turns out to be true. Nobody apologizes.

The EVO is a great phone with 2.1, so no reason to be disappointed with it. It's running way better with 2.2. The fps unlock is just a small part of it. OK, a big part, but I'm guessing the underlying architecture has also added to the smoothness of the update.
