5G Issues on AT&T Note 20.

When my phone connects to 5G the data becomes ridiculously slow .02 Mbps or has no data connection at all. But when it finds an LTE connection it works just fine. I have contacted both Samsung and AT&T but no solution was given. There is no way to disable 5G apparently. Any suggestions?

I had that happen on my Tmobile and restart the phone and worked again.

Odin unlocked firmware can disable 5G on that firmware.

I do have an unlocked note but whenever I insert the at&t sim the network settings page changes.

I inserted a Verizon sim card and was able to see the options of choosing a network mode but whenever I insert the AT&T sim this option disappears.

Ahh yeah ATT doesn't have that on unlocked

So now I see I’m going to have the same problem I had with my former phone - s20 Ultra. Good to know .... going to test it out tomorrow

So this isn’t fixable with an update? I also read that some people were having screen issues SMH.

I don't see that happening yet , they still don't have Wi-Fi calling on unlocked version .

I ask because I just noticed that my iPhone XS Max (also on ATT) started showing "5Ge" - and I know the XS Max does not support 5G.

It's AT&T's fake 5G. It's just LTE with carrier aggravation.

I believe if it says 5G its the real deal, their 5ge was enhanced LTE(fake 5g)

I should have clarified, I was speaking to the 5Ge carrier aggregation shown on the iPhone. I don't think we've been lucky enough to experience authentic 5G where I live

I tried my Att sim , no luck, so I just kept Tmobile sim in .

Yep att kinda sucks anymore.... phone receptions going downhill, lots of dropped calls, and they refuse to give unlocked phones any features that the att branded phones get. I've forced them to give me many deals over the years because of these things, but the lousy phone reception and dropped calls are becoming too much :-[
