Is there or will there be a 5G update available for a Galaxy S9+ instead of having to purchase a new phone in order to get the 5G broadband services?
I have noticed that when I'm not at my house connected to my Wi-Fi that the 5G is showing up on my my Galaxy S9+ causing my phone to be extremely slow or not able to do anything.
Are you confusing your 5G home wifi with 5g cell data?I have noticed that when I'm not at my house connected to my Wi-Fi that the 5G is showing up on my my Galaxy S9+ causing my phone to be extremely slow or not able to do anything.
Wi-Fi isn't 5G. That sounds like the 5GHz frequency, which is a separate thing all together. The slow speed could be due to a bad configuration, or just a slow connection to the ISP (the Wi-Fi router doesn't control your bandwidth, your ISP does).I have noticed that when I'm not at my house connected to my Wi-Fi that the 5G is showing up on my my Galaxy S9+ causing my phone to be extremely slow or not able to do anything.

OP, take a screen shot, then turn your WiFi Off in the Connections through the Settings menu. Take a 2nd shot Disable auto reconnect. Post both.
You can, if wanted, go to Developer Options and toggle on the option I have circled.
Good luck![]()
