Re: Just Got Android 6 Update Notice (North East USA)

I updated my 2/16 also bought from Moto. The phone doesn't have a SIM, so it updated via WI-FI

So it would appear the XT1540 (USA) and XT1550 (India?) Have begun updating?

Re: Just Got Android 6 Update Notice (North East USA)

Also in northeast US, just finished installing now. Everything looks good now--it was a little flaky when it finished (several Play store notices, a little sluggish), but after a few minutes it settled down and seems to be fine.

Re: Just Got Android 6 Update Notice (North East USA)

North East (south jersey) metropcs. got mine today too. yeah was a little sluggish after the install but after rebooting, feels nice and smooth and zippy. not sure if I like the new copy/cut/paste/select all popup menu of marshmallow... lollipop had a better menu, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
I also almost had a heart attack when poweramp couldn't find my music on my SD card... now that my card is combined with the internal, it moved all my previous stuff to some strange folder, took me a little bit to find it

I got update too for my 2/16 model.

Re: Just Got Android 6 Update Notice (North East USA)

Midwest here. Got the prompt last night about midnight. Bought mine from Google.

Disappointed there is no ticker option. That was a big reason I was looking forward to this update. Thought I read it would be an option but it isn't.

Here in Ohio, USA, just got the notification moments ago.

Location within a country doesn't matter folks.

Can you confirm if voice over LTE works on your Moto G after the update? In other words, when you're on 4G LTE, can you make/receive phone calls?

Congrats on the updates, all.

Can your Moto G unlocked with the Marshmallow update on Tmobile make phone calls now? Will it automatically switch to 3G to make/receive calls, and back to 4G after the call is done? Moto G does not have Voice over LTE enabled because of the lack of certification, but it should automatically go to 3G when making/receiving calls, and then back to 4G.

Can anyone on Tmobile confirm? Thanks.

Received 6.0 update yesterday.......installed and wiped, formatted cache. Running very smooth.

Just tried it. As soon as I called it switched from LTE to H. Since I am on tmobile I think it means HSPA+ but this is not true LTE. As soon as I hung up it went back to LTE.

It goes to 3g when on a phone call then goes back to LTE when I hang up.

Loving it so far. Heads up notifications are not a a problem anymore. I don't know why they didn't keep the kit kat volume menu. It's a little different but the average user would be still confused about it because there is no total silence in the volume menu but rather in the drop down menu. I'm OK with the way the phone behaves and no need to mess with doze
