60 watt charging

I tried out the 60 watt charger today. Unlike the 45 watt charger, I am impressed with the he 60 watt charger.

I plugged phone in at 5:05 at 25%. At 5:25 it was at 85%. I think that is pretty good.

I bought the 60 watt charger thru best buy. I'm sure the cable needs to support the rate of charge. I used a Samsung cable

I can't answer that question. I would think so. People buying cheap cables off Amazon will probably have issues

The cable from the 45w should definitely handle the 60w especially a Samsung version

That cable for the 45w which is 3amps handle between 45-65w

The 5amp one handle 100w +

Ive got a bunch of 45w chargers everywhere. I'll probably stick with those for awhile.

I bought two 60 watt OtterBox dual chargers off of woot for 24..99. I didn't want dual but the price was good. And I took the cable from my 45 watt charger and have been using it to charge my phone and watch and I'll try it on Monday with the new phone and see if it says 3.0.

I bought the 60-watt charger from Bestbuy (cheaper) but the 6-foot 5A cable from Samsung. The cable wasn't cheap, iirc, something like ~$25!

I figure that since the phone does SFC 3.0, I don't want to "cripple" the phone by using either an inferior charger or cable. Otherwise the experience of the phone would be partially compromised. It'd be like buying a Ferrari and putting in inferior, lower octane gasoline!

Wife's phone arrived with 52% charge, put in on my 100w charger for around 20 mins and was up to 92%, so she started the transfer.

I bought two of these it was a woot deal for $25 I thought my husband was going to upgrade but he's not right now. But I see now they're on sale at OtterBox cuz they were $60. And I didn't want the double and it only does 30 if you're charging two things at once. But at the time I looked on Amazon I didn't see any good 60 ones. But I have two or three 45 watt ones also.
