Is 64 gb big enough for memory? I use Google drive for most pics and video, have no music download.

I have all of my stuff in the cloud as well and use Play Music for all of my music, still got the 128. I always go with more than I think I'll need.

I guess it depends on you. I keep everything in the cloud, Google drive, Google music. Even with the pixel 1 at 32 gig, I had around 20 gig of storage used. So 64 gig is plenty for me. Some people always have to have everything on their phone. Just depends on how you use it.

I managed 2 years with 64gb on my 6p but for some reason I've already used about 50 gb on this XL. I'm probably using more due to having more but even so I'm glad I went larger

If you don't store a lot on the phone 64 is fine.

I personally went with 128 just so I don't ever have to think about it. I do store music and other things on my phone.

64gb should be just fine for you. Paying the extra money for 128gb might not be worth it.

I had the same dilemma but due to the free cloud storage given, opted for the 64gb version. My music is all on Spotify and I delete the large video files off the device after they've been backed up to Google.

Since you use cloud storage that much 64 is just fine. I never got that close to filling my 32GB OG Pixel because all my music and stuff is in the cloud. Save the money...

I think 64 GB is enough but given there is no SD card slot (which I don't prefer anyway), I always go for the highest storage option just to be safe. So 128 GB for me so that later I don't repent on getting the higher storage option.

For you, probably.

I went with 128GB because I like having my movies and music on my device, especially when I'm travelling.

Returning my 64 tomorrow. 128 comes in on the 3rd. I put a lot of videos, music, and notes on it so 128 gives me extra room. As others mentioned, 64 is plenty if you don't store everything on your phone.

Dumb question but how do you store stuff only on the cloud and not locally? And then how do you use and retrieve those files??

Most of my important files are in Google drive, music are in Google music. You upload them once and those files stays there every time you change your phone. For files in Google drive, you can open it with the Google drive app, and if you want to you can download them locally onto the phone, but a copy of it stays in Google drive in the cloud. Same with music, you stream it when you want to listen to a song, but you can also download them locally. A copy will always stay in the cloud. I personally don't see the need of always needing 20 thousands songs on my phone all the time.

I just ordered the 128. It'll have a better resale value as well as better value when you are using it. You won't have to worry about filling it, or slowing down.
