6month Red question

How does the free 6 months work? Since the Home only supports one account, I assume it needs to be the one with the 6 months of Red so the music playing works to its full ability. Is the subscription hard coded to the account it was bought under, or the one its setup on/with?
My plan is to create a generic account for now to use since i have so many people in my household (until multi account support is enabled).
Can I do that and put the subscription on the generic account?

Yes you can add this subscription to a generic family account... it does not even need a payment method set on the account. I did this same thing with mine, and it worked just fine.

The only thing is I'm not sure if it's stuck to only that account now... I didn't think of this until after I agreed to starting the free 6 months, so now I'm not sure if I can move it over to my account if they add support for multiple account before the 6 months is up.

I figured when multi account capabilities are added, Ill keep the generic account till the 6months are over, then remove that account and add the youtube red to one of the real/main accounts.
