Hello All,
I'm looking for input from any 6p owners using AT&T for service. I was wondering how the cell and data signals are working for you. The only metal cased phone I've ever owned was an HTC ONE M8 and it was not the best phone I've ever used in terms of signal strength and call quality. My Nexus 6 has been great in those areas. Cell signal and call quality are my most important features with a phone, I can live with short comings in any other area but a "phone" should function as a phone first and foremost. Thank you in advance for any input.

So far so good. I agree the nexus 6 has superb radios. With my 6P I have not noticed anything to indicate loss of signal or function.

This is for me. I am not on AT&T but on T-Mobile so similar GSM experience. The 6P works pretty well. For me it has been working even better than my Moto X Pure Edition.

I had my 6P on AT&T for the first week, then I moved to Project Fi... I no issues on AT&T, nor any issues on Project Fi. Pretty much seamless.

I use cricket which uses the att network. no problems. clear lte signal always.

don't mean to hijack.....will the new nexus 6p work using the at&t lte network or doesn't it have the radios for at&t lte?

any dropped calls using at&t and the nexus 6p?

are the calls crisp and clear no background noise?

how fast is the data loading time on at&t lte?

sorry for all the questions but I been misinformed by carriers that frankly I don't trust them period!

I am on a AT&T go phone plan using a Verizon note 3 on hspa+ and data speeds are slowwwwwwwww.
2 bars of cell signal but at least no dropped calls and I have consistant cell signal.

my current note 3 goes from 4g lte to 3g to 1x to roaming to no service at my home and other areas of a large metro area using verizon!

thanks for any helpful information.

I've not had any issues using mine on AT&T. Calls have been issue free and data speeds are consistent to what I got with my Nexus 6.

That's good to hear, my Nexus 6 has been really reliable with cell service and my LTE speeds have been more than acceptable.

I have the same concerns here.
The data speeds your seeing are obviously because of the Verizon phone not being capable of data other than HSPA on the AT&T network, any LTE phone you get using GSM (non Verizon or Sprint phone) on AT&T is going to be better.

I'm coming from a Samsung S5 and this thing has way better signal. In my basement I used to get 1 bar and none in some parts of it. With the 6p I get at least 3. Call quality is great as well.

Turned off WiFi and did a speed test for you just now, this is on the signal from my house.

Working very well for me on ATT. Improvement in signal strength compared to my old Moto X (2013).

That's good news, as I found Motorola phones to have very good cell reception.

doing well here. the earphone is soft, but that's the device, not the network.

thanks for the speed test I'm not a tech savy person.

so I am on a go phone plan will all of nexus 6p features work? how does a voicemail work or is this an app to load
from the google play store?
texts as a group or with a photo over 1012kb's will not go as they have a cap on the size of pictures on those go
phone plans.

will the nexus actually use the at&t 4g lte network or only on hspa+?

anyone here on a at&t go phone plan? if so does group texting work as it does if on a regular plan?

what other option is better using at&t go phone plan a normal individual plan on at&t?

Verizon is out as I get lousy cell signal at home and other south parts of a large metro area city.

and what color is frost? is it a dull snow color with icicles forming? [pun intended]

thanks for any information regarding my questions I'm leaning towards staying on go pohone plan using the nexus
6p to test and see if at&t is a good fit for the money as these plans sure beat what I've been paying to Verizon for
lousy service.

I placed my att and my T-Mobile sim in my 6p to test and compare.
att worked like any other device sold by att. Full LTE... No issues at all.

Voice over LTE and HD Voice DO NOT WORK. If you have any desire to use VoLTE, buyer beware. It is ultimately what lead me to keep my Note 5 over the 6P.

Yeah. What a difference it makes. HD Voice just started working on my Iphone 6S+ a few months ago and it is awesome! This may be a deal breaker.

I had a Note 5 on AT&T and my 6P has better signal strength and appears faster on LTE. The LTE issue is likely to that phone slowing down and having to be restarted a few times a day. My wife has my Note now and she loves it but I had the phones side by side at my house and my 6P has more signal if the ratings are equal.
