On my Nexus 6p after replacing the battery with a new one that seems to otherwise be working fantastic, if I take a picture, the phone dies and won't turn back on unless I plug it into a charger. Only have to plug it into the charger to turn phone on, then unplug and battery is still at same charge as before it died.
Found someone else having this exact problem and they suggest turning the HDR option on the camera off solves the problem, which I've done but since it only shuts off randomly, not for every picture, I'm not positive if this is the solution yet.

Well, that's somewhat interesting...

What operating system version are you currently running?

Settings -> System -> Phone status/About Phone/etc. (depends on the current version)/

Did this strange behavior happen before you had the battery replaced?
If not then they either used a poor quality battery or damaged something else during the replacement process.

The only time I've had the phone shut off when taking a picture is when the battery is very low (<10%).

So since replacing the battery, I've had the phone shut off 3 times at random while taking a picture. Today however it shut off during regular use. So maybe the picture thing was just a coincidence.
Anyway, I was at bestbuy and they have the Essential phone for $450 so I picked that up. Lol
I'll put the old battery back into the 6p and sell it. I'm assuming that the new battery is just a lemon.
