6T Notification delays

Does anyone else get notifications way after you should or even sometimes they don't come through at all?

That's what I wondered if it's adaptive battery on pie and not oxygen OS. Can't remember if u had the same issue on my pixel 2.

Exclude from battery optimisation any apps that you need instant notification for, such as, Messaging, email, Whatsapp, etc; as well as any widgets you may use, weather, news, etc: Also, turn off Battery saver and Adaptive battery.

Good tips. I think the phone is a touch smoother and stuff I need isn't getting killed. Plus the battery life doesn't seem to have been affected, it's still great. Thanks guys!

I get no lag at all with notifications.
Must be just me?
