7.0 update causing huge battery drain and major instability

My Vodafone s7 recently updated to android 7.0. Immediately i began to notice instability, apps would crash, but most annoyingly, the screen flickers on and off rapidly when I'm typing or scrolling.

The other issue i immediately noticed is that background battery usage increased from 20% over an 8 hour period to 50% over the same 8 hour period. Personally, this issue is the biggest one. I've always loved how my battery lasts, and if this update is going to **** all of that up, i may well return the phone.

Does anyone have fixes for these issues? Are they common with the new update?

You can try wipe the cache partition to start with. You should after bigger updates anyway..
Then hope they fix the bugs in impending update /bug fixes.
Or roll back to M.

Went to the Vodafone shop, they said there is no way to roll back updates.
